Americké Národní centrum pro hurikány (NHC) se sídlem v Miami uvedlo, že Dorian je dosud nejsilnějším zaznamenaným hurikánem na severozápadě Baham. NHC varovalo, že Dorian představuje “život ohrožující situaci” s rizikem “extrémního ničení”.
